This blackline master activity book has beencollated for use in the elementary school. The material is stimulating andhumorous and easily used by the teacher and student alike. Worksheets have beendesigned for classroom use, as homework activities and also to aid relievingstaff.
The sheets aim to complement the reading andcomprehension component of the English curriculum. They provide teachers with arange of practical activities for investigating both written and visualmaterial. Aspects of other English strands have also been included.
Worksheets are non-sequential and may be used inany order the teacher chooses. They incorporate a wide variety of textsincluding an advertisement, comic strip, rebus puzzle and map, plus a range ofrelated activities.
For ease of use, most worksheets are stand-alone,while some require students to explore other familiar texts such as a televisionprogram or library book of their choice.
Most sheets are designed for students workingalone, however some are suitable for small group work. Feedback between theteacher, student and other members of the class is encouraged.
