Seanan McGuire

Multi-award winning Science Fiction and Fantasy writer Seanan McGuire is the author of the October Daye urban fantasy series, the InCryptid series, and several other works, including short stories, stand-alone works and others in duologies or trilogies. She also writes the Newsflesh zombie apocalypse series under the pseudonym, Mira Grant.

Inspired by fairy tales, classical mythology, popular culture and horror, she has created several different fictional worlds to much critical acclaim.

Winner of the 2010 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, she has also been nominated for five Hugo Awards.

Born in California in 1978, she is a Filk music artist and lives in Seattle, Washington State with her two cats.
